At the annual presentation of the Green Key certificates for 2017, all 35 hotels of NH Hotel Group in the Netherlands were awarded the highest green label. In addition, NH Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst won the Green Team Award 2017.
During the Green Key seminar in the Netherlands, taking place on 9 February 2017, all 35 hotels of NH Hotel Group in the Netherlands received the Green Key award. Green Key is among the world's largest label for sustainable businesses in the leisure sector. Companies with the Green Key label meet strict standards in terms of sustainability, environment and CSR, without compromising on comfort and quality. The Green Key label is awarded for one year and re-evaluated every year.
"Compliance with the stringent standards set by Green Key is one of the ways we shape our vision of sustainability. Our guests get in hotels where safety, sustainability and respect for the environment are inextricably linked to the corporate identity”, said Maarten Markus, Managing Director of NH Hotel Group.
In addition to the presentation of the Green Key certificate at the Green Key seminar in the Netherlands, the Dutch Green Team Award 2017 competition was held. This year the theme was ‘waste and circular economy. After a preliminary round four finalists were selected. During the final round, the teams were tested on their knowledge, creativity and cooperation. The team at NH Conference Centre Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout won the Green Team Award 2017 thanks to their enthusiasm and knowledge.
