Green Key and Blue Flag administrative assistant
4-6 months’ internship at the Foundation for Environmental Education
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) is looking for an unpaid administrative assistant (intern) that would like to work with our tourism-related environmental programmes, Green Key and Blue Flag, for 4-6 months from 16 January 2023 (exact dates can be flexible). The main areas of work will be the administrative support to the development to educational courses and best practice tools/material and support in the process of the Blue Flag global criteria revision.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Development of educational courses for Green Key
Creation and revision of content for educational courses for a) staff of Green Key establishments, b) Green Key auditors and c) Green Key national administration offices with the use of the Moodle platform of the FEE Academy
2. Development of material for the Green Key toolbox
Creation, collection, and revision of content (templates, documents, best practice examples, support material) for the Green Key Criteria Toolbox. The material of the Green Key Toolbox can be downloaded by the staff of Green Key establishments as an assistance to their work.
3.Blue Flag global criteria revision administration support
Online thematic working parties' administration support: coordination of internal online meetings, document review, documents production, e.g. executive summaries, minutes, survey, criteria drafts.
4.Administrative tasks
Taking care of ad-hoc administrative tasks such as database maintenance, response to general requests, etc.

Terms and conditions:
Unpaid internship for a duration of a minimum of four months. It is encouraged that the internship is part of the internship requirements for students in the hospitality industry, but it can also be part of a post-studies internship.
Unless the COVID-19 situation in Denmark prevents it, it is expected that the intern works from the FEE Head Office in Copenhagen, and the intern will follow the same conditions as the FEE Head Office staff (as recommended by the Danish Health Authorities).
The intern will have to work 37 hours a week, including a 30 min lunch break.
English is the official language at the FEE Head Office
Additional information for the intern to be working from the FEE Head Office:
The intern is an EU/EEA/Nordic citizen or have a valid work permit in Denmark.
The intern will be working partly from the FEE Head Office and partly from home. For the work at the office, the intern is responsible for own accommodation and transport between home and the office (but FEE can provide a bike for the duration of the internship for free)
The intern will need a social security number in Denmark (which means that the applicant has to provide proof to the government that he/she has enough financial funds to sustain him/herself (see: https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-GB/You-want-to-apply/Residence-as-a-Nordic-citizen-or-EU-or-EEA-citizen/EU-Self-support)
The intern informs FEE about existing holiday plans in the internship period during the interview. Holidays during the internship are confirmed by the intern’s supervisor and should be announced two weeks in advance.
Required skills and experience
Fluent in written and spoken English
The applicant should have a background or work experience in sustainable tourism, sustainable development, or other sustainability-related fields of work
Experience with online course platforms (such as Moodle) is strongly recommended
Experience with design programmes such as Canva and Adobe software is preferred
Precise and organised way of working
Proficient user of Microsoft Office package
Capability of working in a team as well as independently
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
